UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE HOSPITAL VASCULAR LAB
This project involved the full renovation and equipment replacement for the special procedures Vascular Lab at the University of Louisville Hospital's Radiology Department. This included renovation of the procedure room, the control room and two equipment rooms. Furthermore, in phase-2 of this project, work also included the enlargement/renovation of the Lab's Prep & Recovery patient bays.
JRA was the Design Team Lead and provided full professional services for the project. This included the following responsibilities and task: Field Data collection, Planning (with the owner/staff/patients), Design, Construction Drawings and Specifications, Bidding, Construction Administration, Record Drawings and Closeout Documents. Furthermore, JRA was the team lead for its MEP and Structural consulting engineers, and also facilitated the coordination with the Owner's Physicist in acquiring the lead shielding requirements for the project, and with the Owner's Equipment Vender (Philips).
Not only was design and construction completed on time and on budget, the goal of creating a Vascular Lab whose character was less institutional and more patient friendly was achieved.
