ROB DEAL AIA,
Paducah Innovation Hub | Lexington, Kentucky
The Innovation Hub, a new construction project for Paducah Public Schools, serves as the new location of the Paducah Area Technology Center – a technical school annex which provides interactive instruction on industrial and STEM careers. Over 122,000 square feet of new structure serves both the Paducah Independent and McCracken County school districts and provides spaces for classes such as Engineering Technology, Robotics, Carpentry, Welding, Automotive Technology, Auto Body Repair, CAD, Fine Arts, and Health Sciences, as well as several adaptable Maker Spaces and Resource Rooms. The building is also the new location for Paducah Independent Schools Board of Education offices, fitted with a 10,000 SF office suite and a 100-seat seminar room. The building maintains a direct connection to Paducah Tilghman High School but stands on its own with a separate entrance and unique siting. The main entrance opposes the high school, maximizing the space between and maintaining the appearance of a separate structure.
