St. Xavier High School Media Center | Louisville, Kentucky

St. Xavier has partnered with JRA to envision the future of their library and media center as they continue to position themselves as Louisville’s leading Catholic boys high school. The center’s prominent location along the street makes it an ideal investment both to upgrade the school’s existing street presence and to reinvigorate a primary learning space that has had few upgrades since opening in 1973.

The team envisions maintaining much of the existing building shell, but strategically adding new classroom space along the street to create a new community landmark and address the school’s current overcrowding. A progressive program of collaborative spaces, technology enhanced class space, and informal social space will reinvigorate the media center as the heart of the education campus.
